Here's the place to talk about the first spanish league - the "Liga BBVA". For more profounded discussions on particular clubs, feel free to start a new topic here or post in an existing one.
It's difficult to anticipate where Atletico Madrid will be at the end of this season.
I guess they could reach rank 4 or 5. (they're currently on the 7th position)
The actual positions are
1. Barcelona
...
5. Real Madrid
6. Athletico Madrid
but all three clubs (+ Villarreal) are qualified for the Champions League.
It is very interesting to see further results (I have no possibility to watch the Spanish matches on TV).
Real has fired their german coach Bernd Schuster some days ago.
I can understand that they aren't happy with rank 5, but it's to typical for clubs like Real to see the disissal as the only possible solution.
I don't understand why they have not a bit more patience.
Of course rank 5 is no champions league anymore, but as long as they keep touch with the cl ranks they shouldn't fire a coach.
